We are looking for enthusiastic, high achieving tutors who have completed the following subjects to conduct focused small group classes at our campuses in Box Hill and Williams Landing:
VCE Maths: Methods / Specialist / General
Year 3-10 English
Year 3-10 Mathematics
UCAT
VCE Chemistry / Biology / Physics

Qualifications & Experience
You MUST be legally permitted to work in Australia
University Student, University Graduate, Qualified Teacher
Current Working With Children Certificate or willing to apply for one
Achieved 40+ raw study score in English or Literature (for English Tutors)
Achieved 40+ raw study score in Specialist Maths, Maths Methods or General Maths (for Math Tutors)
Achieved 40+ raw study score in Chemistry, Physics, Biology (for VCE Science Tutors)

Tasks & responsibilities
Teach small groups online and in centre using the Premier Education program
Each student has an individual learning program tailored to their needs
focus on closing the education gaps of each student to reach their goals
review and plan weekly lessons
Maintain excellent communication with parents on their child's weekly progress
Maintain child safe standards and teaching environment
Assist development of current course or amendments to program
Development of homework and providing end of term reports
Minimum 1 year commitment (recommended)
Flexible working hours with minimum requirement of 4 hours per week
Ideal Candidates
To succeed as a tutor, you will have a passion for Mathematics and/or English and have the patience to work with students in their Secondary years. Ideally, you should have a successful track record as a previous educator in these subjects or be a University student who is capable of teaching these units. Experience is valued but not mandatory.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate:
Experience in delivering programs to young people, such as teaching, tutoring and mentoring
A high level of respect and care with regard to young people
The ability to communicate effectively with students, families and team members
Strong communication skills with the ability to apply a variety of teaching methods to adapt to our students' learning styles
Able to use online platforms for learning such as Zoom
A strong passion for working with students of all ages and abilities
A current working with Children check card (WWCC) & Police Check or willingness to obtain
