We are seeking an experienced and passionate Workplace Trainer and Assessor to deliver high-quality, competency-based training in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in equipping learners with the practical skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their chosen industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Delivery: Conduct engaging face-to-face, online, and blended learning sessions using interactive, practical teaching methods.
- Assessment: Design and administer compliant assessments based on unit criteria; observe and evaluate learner performance in simulated or real workplace environments.
- Curriculum Development: Create session plans and instructional materials aligned with accredited training packages; adapt content to suit diverse learner needs, including those with LLN challenges.
- Student Support: Provide timely, constructive feedback and academic support to facilitate student progress and success.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate assessment and attendance records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Industry Engagement: Stay current with industry trends and incorporate relevant practices into training delivery.

Task & responsibilities
- Develop session plans and instructional materials that align with accredited training packages or course.
- Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with language, literacy and numeracy challenges.
- Conduct face to face, online, blended learning sessions. use interactive and practical teaching methods to engage learners.
- Ensure training delivery compliant with the standards set by regulatory bodies. Develop and administer assessments based on unit criteria.
- Observe and evaluate learners performing tasks in simulated or real workplacve environments.
- Provide clear, timely and constructive feedback.
- Complete and store all assesment and attendance records in accordance with compliance requirements.
- Track student progress and maintain reporting documentation.
- Offer academic and personal support to students, identifying and assisting those at risk of falling behind.
- Refer learners to addional support services when needed.
- Maintain up to date knowldge of industry standards and proctices. visit students at their workplaces to observe and assess performance.
- Ensure that assessments meet industry standards and training package requirements.Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with RTO policies and regulatory guidelinesstay informed about changes to training packgaes and national standards (e.g ASQA standards).
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain vocational training competency.
Qualification & experience
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) – Mandatory for delivering and assessing nationally recognized training in Australia.
Vocational qualification at least to the level being taught and assessed
Experience:
Recent, relevant industry experience in the vocational area of delivery.
Experience in training or mentoring adults is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage classroom dynamics and adapt to learner needs.
