Make a Real Difference in Workplace Health and Safety 
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Work Health and Safety Manager to lead the development, execution, and oversight of workplace safety initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of WHS programs and compliance in the Transport & Logistics industry. 
 
About the Role
  • Offer expert guidance, support, and strategic advice to Management and the WHS Committee on workplace health and safety trends, risk identification, legislative compliance, and emerging issues, while also supporting the development and implementation of relevant policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Develop and implement safety-focused programs while identifying and addressing safety gaps to establish consistent and transparent practices company-wide.
  • Plan and take part in conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive continuous safety improvements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Safety Management System, including processes for reporting incidents and injuries.
  • Conduct and oversee annual audits to ensure business practices align with the Safety Management System.
  • Review and update safety policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with legislative and industry standards.
  • Manage the injury management and return-to-work process, ensuring proactive planning and effective claim handling.
  • Oversee the timely management of hazards, near misses, and incidents to support a proactive safety culture.
About You
  • Passionate about safety with a strong drive to make a positive impact.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Work Health and Safety management or a similar role within the transport & logistics industry 
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
  • Return to Work Coordinator Certificate.
  • Strong understanding of safety legislation and its application.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Highly proficient in using computer systems
  • Willing to travel to various site locations quarterly 
  • Willing to complete Pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing
