Our client is a leading Australian plumbing wholesaler.  serving over 2,500 customers with a catalog of 3,000+ products nationwide.
Since they opened their first small warehouse more than 40 years ago, they have experienced consistent growth and now operate from 7 Warehouses across Australia.


About The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor with a proven track record across all warehousing and distribution operations and a strong grasp of inventory management systems, as well as demonstrated proficiency in operating forklifts and high reach equipment.
This position is responsible for maintaining and overseeing inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items. In addition, the position is responsible for securing the warehouse as well as supervising staff to optimise their productivity while meeting all aspects of work health and safety and cost objectives.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.
  • Implement and oversee security
  • Implement operational policies and
  • Maintain documentation and keep accurate recorded of warehouse
  • Review timeliness of scheduled
  • Track inventory
  • Order new supplies in a timely
  • Constantly work to improve
  • Make suggestions and implement productivity improvements.
  • Optimise employee
  • Determine and track the most important warehouse KPIs.
  • Ensure that facility equipment is properly
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members.
  • Train, guide and evaluate new warehouse workers.
  • Ensure the workplace is clean and
  • Work with the procurement team with regards to stock transfers between interstate warehouses.
  • Participate is rolling stock counts and stock control.
  • Lead by
  • Perform a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
  • Maintain records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation as requested by management from time to time.

To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Valid forklift license with demonstrated experience is essential.
  • High reach experience is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, IFS, WMS, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous Leadership / supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is required.
