Job Description

MPSR Group is seeking skilled and detail-oriented Vehicle Painters (multiple) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, varnish, or coatings using spray guns or similar tools. Vehicle Painter tasks require precision, excellent hand to eye co-ordination, efficiency, and skills to produce consistent, high-quality finishes.

Skills required are trades qualification, or equivalent industry experience. The candidate must possess sound technical knowledge of various painting techniques and tools, ability to comprehend / apply regulatory requirements, and attention to detail. These full-time roles are based in MPSR workshop in Marrickville NSW with a salary range of $74,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation depending on experience and skills.

Main Tasks include:

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, or masking as needed
Mix and match paint colours and finishes as per technical specifications and customised orders
Independently operate all kinds of spray-painting equipment in the workshop, including HVLP, airless, conventional systems, etc.
Apply primers, topcoats, and sealants in consistent, even layers to meet job specs
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all safety protocols
Inspect finished products for quality, making corrections as necessary
Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment in compliance with MPSR protocols
Document paint usage and record job details for tracking and reporting purposes to the Workshop Manager
Work in workshop spray booths, or as directed
Use of PPE including respirators, gloves, goggles, and coveralls for safety compliance
Follow safety measures on exposure to paint fumes, dust, and chemicals
