TRUCK DRIVER

We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver to safely operate HC/MC vehicles for the transport and delivery of goods across local and regional routes. The role involves loading and securing freight, completing delivery documentation, and maintaining vehicles in line with safety standards. Applicants must hold a valid HC/MC licence, have at least 1 year of full-time driving experience, and demonstrate strong knowledge of road transport regulations.

Task & responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections and safety checks to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy.
• Position trucks safely and accurately for loading and unloading operations.
• Estimate freight weights, monitor load limits, and ensure proper distribution.
• Verify delivery paperwork, check goods’ condition, and obtain delivery confirmations.
• Secure and cover freight correctly to prevent damage, loss, or shifting in transit.
• Operate lifting and tipping equipment for efficient loading and unloading.
• Follow all safety procedures during handling, loading, and unloading tasks.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum of 1-year full-time experience as a Truck Driver.
• Valid HC/MC licence with a clean and current driving record.
• Strong knowledge of road transport regulations, fatigue management, and chain of responsibility.
• Proven ability to complete delivery documentation accurately and manage trip records.
• Skilled in load restraint, weight distribution, and safe handling of goods.
• Experience operating lifting, tipping, and other loading/unloading equipment.
