the role

You will be joining our other consultants comprising traffic engineers, civil engineers, parking consultants, CAD drafters and data analysts. You will be supporting the Senior team in the delivery of high-quality advice to a consolidated client base including the likes of Mirvac, Toga, Dexus, NSW Health Infrastructure, NSW Schools Infrastructure. Your tasks will include:

• Operational analysis and modelling of intersections, corridors, interchanges, etc.
• Preparation of Traffic Impact Assessments.
• Planning, concept development, and feasibility studies.
• Providing technical support and task management for traffic, transportation and parking projects locally, nationally and internationally.
• Traffic signal design; bicycle and pedestrian facility review and design.
• Technical writing and report documentation.

required skills

• A Bachelor or Master Degree in Civil Engineering, with focus on Traffic and Transport.
• At least 2 years work experience within the fields of traffic and transportation engineering and transportation planning, including the performance of field work such as site inventories and/or traffic data collection.
• Intermediate to advanced AutoCAD skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.

preferred characteristics and skills

• Experience with site trip generation, operational analysis of intersections and roadways, crash and safety analyses, signal design, and/or signing and striping layout and design.
• Experience in analysis and report preparation.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
