We're a dynamic team looking for a talented, self-motivated Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in enhanced automated testing to drive efficiency, accuracy, and quality across our software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain advanced automation frameworks, ensuring seamless integration of automated tests across various platforms and environments.

The Role

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and scripts to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). 

  • Implement enhanced automated testing strategies, including AI-driven testing, self-healing automation, and advanced test analytics. 

  • Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to integrate automation into the development pipeline. 

  • Design and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and security testing. 

  • Utilise test data management strategies to create and manipulate data for automated test execution. 

  • Design and management of shift-left testing practices

  • Extend automation coverage to include accessibility testing 

  • Define and track automation ROI 

  • Mentor junior QA engineers and developers on automation best practices 

  • Participate in panning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives as an advocate for quality

  • Coordinate with DevOps to manage test environments and staging environments and their data 

  • Improve automation reliability by implementing self-healing mechanisms and intelligent failure analysis. 

  • Conduct code reviews, test optimisations, and refactoring of automated scripts to enhance maintainability. 

  • Monitor and report on test execution results, identifying trends and areas for improvement. 

  • Stay up to date with emerging automation technologies and advocate for best practices in test automation. 

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

  • Understanding of test coverage and documentation required to meet regulatory and compliance standards (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.)

  • Ability to define end to end automation strategies aligned with business and technical requirements

  • Proven experience in software automation testing, including framework development. 

  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, TestSigma, Cypress, Playwright, TestComplete, Appium or similar. 

  • Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#. 

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc.). 

  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, Hopscotch, RestAssured, SOAPUI) and database testing. 

  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-based testing. 

  • Understanding of AI/ML-driven automation testing methodologies is a plus. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for quality engineering.
