Test Analyst (Manual Testing)

FinXL is currently hiring a Manual Tester / Test Analyst to be deployed on-site with a leading enterprise banking and financial institution. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a long-term data capability program, supporting the development of a high-impact Data Lake solution.

You'll join a collaborative and high-performing team of testers, architects, and delivery leads, working within a structured Waterfall environment with Agile sprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data and database testing to validate large-scale data solutions

• Test and validate data flows, transformations, and outputs across complex datasets

• Work closely with architects and delivery teams to ensure quality outcomes

• Debug data issues and support defect resolution

• Use tools including JIRA, SQL, AWS, Redshift, and Python during the testing lifecycle

Role Details:

• Contract Length: 6-12 months (initial term, likely extension)

• Location: Sydney CBD

• Hybrid: 2-3 days in office per week

• Team Environment: 20+ Testers, Architect, Delivery Lead

• Delivery Model: Waterfall with Agile sprints

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong experience in manual testing, with exposure to data testing and SQL/database validation

• Comfortable working with large datasets in cloud-based environments

• Smart, adaptable, and proactive

• Experience in banking or financial services preferred, though open to candidates from mid-sized enterprises (e.g. insurance, trading, utilities)
