Switchboard Designer

About Us:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Switchboard Designer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering high quality projects.

About the Role:
As a Switchboard Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate designs for custom switchboards. You will collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet client specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and draft detailed switchboard layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams using AutoCADe and ePLAN software.

• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.

• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and relevant industry regulations.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including bills of materials, cable schedules, and assemble instructions

• Conduct design reviews and make necessary adjustments to meet technical and functional requirements.

• Provide technical support to the production team during the manufacturing process.

• Continuously improve design processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Switchboard Designer or in a similar electrical design role.

• Proficiency in AutoCADe software.

• Strong understanding of switchboard manufacturing processes and relevant standards.

• Strong understanding of electrical switchboard installation.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Highly Favourable:

• Solid grasp of industrial electrical control systems including motors, instruments, valves.

• Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field.

• Experience in SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor
