The Cabinet Maker Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating a team of cabinet makers in both workshop and on-site environments. This role involves supervising the production and installation of custom-made cabinetry, ensuring all work aligns with technical drawings and high-quality standards. The supervisor manages workflow, delegates tasks effectively, and liaises with clients, production officers, and suppliers to ensure project timelines and requirements are met.

Task & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of cabinet makers in the workshop and on-site installations.
- Oversee the assembly and installation of high-quality custom cabinetry in residential and commercial projects.
- Interpret technical drawings and ensure work is completed to exact specifications and company standards.
- Manage workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure timelines are met efficiently.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and suppliers to coordinate job requirements and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment, ensuring all team members follow WHS protocols.
Core Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and job orders.
- Measure, cut, and prepare timber, MDF, laminate, and other materials for assembly.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools (saws, routers, sanders, etc.).
- Monitor quality control and perform final inspections on completed cabinetry.
- Provide on-site supervision during installations, ensuring professional outcomes.
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior team members.
- Manage inventory of materials and tools, and ensure proper maintenance of workshop equipment.
Qualification & experience
- Certificate III in Cabinet Making or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a senior or supervisory position within the cabinet making or joinery industry, along with at least 1–2 years of hands-on experience as a cabinet maker.
- Strong technical skills in both workshop production and on-site installation.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively under pressure.
- Commitment to safety, quality craftsmanship, and detail-oriented work.
- Current and valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
