About the role
In this position, you will be an integral part of Corrective Services which is responsible for all metropolitan and regional public prisons across Western Australia. You will actively contribute to the Department’s agenda to ensure a safe, secure and humane environment for prisoners. Furthermore, you will lead strategies and plans for the effective containment and custody, care and well-being of prisoners and their rehabilitation and reintegration into the community.
As a Superintendent in charge of a prison, you will have the opportunity to:
Provide strategic leadership and direction and implement best practice service delivery standards, networking with counterparts in other national and international jurisdictions.
Build strong community partnerships at local, state and federal government, providing strong community leadership to maximize the provision of culturally and gender appropriate custodial services.
