About the role

Airbus has an opportunity available for a skilled Store Person to join our warehouse team in support of the Civil Helicopters Oil and Gas Platform (O&G PTF)

As a member of the Civil Helicopters Warehouse Team, this role is responsible to control & manage parts within the warehouse environment in accordance and compliance with all processes, systems and tools set by the Manager Material Support and Logistics (MS&L) Civil Helicopters to enable service delivery excellence.

Reporting to the Manager MS&L Civil Helicopters (based in Brisbane), this role is responsible to organise control and manage the storage of products within the warehouse ensuring strict compliance with company and regulatory and policy requirements.

Some of your day-to-day duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all inwards products, received from internal customers and external vendors are subject to the companies receiving inspection process and comply with AAP QMS, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), NZCAA (NZ only) and CASA (Australia only) regulations
  • Ensure that all dispatched products are packaged appropriately taking into account the product, method of transportation and the destination as per the request received
  • Ensure that all documentation relating to the received products is maintained in an orderly and safe condition
  • Ensure the security of the warehouse is enforced and no unauthorized personnel enter the warehouse area unless accompanied
  • Actively participate in the processes of Quarantined items and ensure documentation is up to date following Material Review Board (MRB) meetings
  • Oversee and manage international and domestic freight to/from Perth/Europe and customers
  • Monitor and control all dangerous goods and/or consumable materials IAW Airbus requirements
  • Conduct disposal of materials IAW Airbus procedure and requirements
  • Ensure the warehouse is maintained in a clean and tidy condition at all times and walkways are not obstructed

Note: This role must be able to be placed on the duty on call roster to support Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) services during normal working hours and outside of standard working hours.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking someone who can meet the below criteria.

Qualifications:

  • Academic qualification in Logistics, Warehousing, Freight/Distribution or equivalent industry experience
  • Current Australian Forklift License (or ability to attain within short timeframe)
  • Valid Australian Driver's License

Knowledge & Experience:

  • In depth knowledge of international and domestic logistics, warehousing, freight and distribution
  • Broad knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations (e.g., ITAR, export and import controls), standards and best practices relevant to warehousing, freight and distribution
  • Demonstrated experience working in warehouse and distribution solutions and proven experience in aeronautical logistics, freight and distribution
  • Ability to act as a point of contact for all O&G PTF Civil Helicopters Customers, Airbus personnel and Service Providers
  • Working knowledge of Aviation regulatory requirements
  • Ability to deal with various departments and at various different levels of management with a focus on customer experience

Experience using SAP or MILIS, or another similar ERP system would be advantageous also but is not mandatory.
