Task & responsibilities

Taking “ownership” of the Ormeau store by overseeing all aspects of the store operations, including recruitment, training, and supervision of staff. The role also involves tasks such as preparing weekly schedules within labour budgets, finding suitable replacements for staff absences, and identifying ways to reduce operational costs while maintaining high standards.

As a people person, you’ll excel in creating a positive culture, resolving customer feedback regarding food quality and service, developing strategies to attract and retain customers, leading shift management, and creating a positive atmosphere for customers and employees.

Ensuring good product control, you'll direct staff in product preparation, customer service, and cleanliness, as well as product ordering and stock control. 

Maintaining accurate business records, following compliance with set policies and procedures, and all relevant legislative requirements is an essential part of the role.

Qualification & experience

As a Manager, you will possess good leadership and engagement skills, effective communication, and problem-solving capabilities. Our store manager is empowered to lead their teams to succeed in the everyday and maintain a focus on productivity, food, beverage and bean quality, and results-oriented outcomes.

You should have a clear vision, strategy for your team, and the technical skills necessary to advise and support them including: 

• ideally three (3) years of relevant full-time work experience in a similar role; 
• Formal qualifications in business, retail, or hospitality management are an advantage; 
• Proven experience in retail or food service management; 
• strong leadership and team development; and
• Ability to work under pressure and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
