Specialist Heavy Machinery Technician - U/G Drills

FMS Group is currently seeking a technically advanced Underground Drill Fitter, to fill a position at a Gold Mine situated in the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea. You will be working a roster of 21 days on, 14 days off. Your Skills And Experience To be considered for this role, you must have the following: Trade qualified, minimum +6 years’ continuous Heavy Mining Equipment experienceExperience with: Atlas Copco M2D Jumbos & Simbas, Sandvik DD422i Jumbos, Sandvik DS422 Cable BolterAbility to work in often challenging conditions is a must Ability to create and deliver technical solutionsHigh focus on preventative maintenanceProven ability to deliver continuous improvement and implement best practices is a mustWillingness to mentor the national workforce to assist with further developing their skills is mandatoryStrong work ethic and ability to work in a multinational team environmentUnderstand cultural respect and awarenessA genuine commitment to safetyAustralian and New Zealand citizens/residents will only be considered Successful Applicants Must Hold a current Passport (with at least 12 months validity)Be able to pass a medical examination and an Australian Federal Police ClearanceHave a Working Resident Permit approved before commencement (organised by FMS Group) About Us FMS Group has been on a journey since establishing in 2005 as CQ Field Mining Services.
