About the Role: As a Spare Parts Interpreter, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our customers moving. You’ll be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and supplying the right parts for our equipment. Whether it’s helping our workshop team, supporting our customers, or liaising with suppliers, you’ll be central to the smooth operation of our parts department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify correct spare parts using drawings, technical resources, and product catalogues
- Assist customers and workshop staff with parts enquiries in a friendly, professional manner
- Provide accurate quotes, process orders, and handle invoicing
- Manage stock levels and perform regular inventory checks
- Order parts from suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Keep the parts store well-organised and efficient
- Support workshop projects by preparing parts kits and keeping track of usage
- Maintain a high standard of customer service
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a spare parts or mechanical environment (heavy vehicle or mining equipment experience is a must)
- Technical knowledge of trailer components or a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills and a helpful attitude
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and invoicing
- Forklift licence
