The Markets Technology team combines technical expertise, innovative problem-solving to design, deploy and implement effective solutions to support the Trading and Clearing businesses within the ASX. You will be working closely with other technical, Testing, Architecture and our Lines of Business on the Design and Implementation of application solutions to support product development across ASX. As an experienced software engineer, you will bring both technology expertise and Financial Services domain knowledge applying to the design and build of data streaming, microservices, adaptors and backend applications. Your Responsibilities Ensure CI/CD design and engineering processes adhere to existing engineering standards, have well defined process controls, and deliver an overall compliance reporting model. Lead delivery of technical documentation, adherence to best practices, and standard application of processes and controls. Provide expert services on contemporary engineering practices including micro service architectures, continuous delivery, continuous integration, multi-cloud usage, and DevSecOps Be part of a cross-functional team planning, designing, creating, enhancing, and documenting new and existing system features to deliver agreed value to stakeholders. Your Experience And Qualifications Must have Worked with, and delivered on, enterprise CI/CD capabilities and tools, providing guidance on best practices and helping enable major programs to deliver business value. Cloud Engineering inc DevOps experience on AWS.Experience logging & Monitoring tools like Open Telemetry & Cloud Observability – LightstepExperience with API Swagger design and micro services build.Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIsExperience in design and implementation of database technologies (eg. PostGres, Oracle, SQL, AWS RDMS’).Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD)Good delegation and time management skillsProblem-solving abilitiesParticipate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deploymentCollaborate across time zones via documents, and frequent video conferencesExcellent debugging and optimization skillsExperience in unit/integration and Non Functional testingExperience with complex data structures and semi structured data (JSON, XML) Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT discipline.
