Siebel Solutions Designer:

Core Responsibilities:

  • You will lead business workshops to understand business requirements and work with business and other technologies stakeholders to firm up scope.

  • You will generate high level and detailed estimates for the scoped requirements.

  • You will be able to develop, solution design, code, and test in accordance with best-practice software development guidelines and methodologies.

  • You will collaborate with technical and functional resources to create technical design documentation.

  • You will proactively identify, document, and manage issues and risks associated with work being undertaken.

  • You will make proposals/recommendations for new enhancements to improve system processes or functions.

  • You will perform quality assurance and develop applications in an agile DevOps environment performing tasks such as clarifying functional requirements, Siebel development and testing.

  • You will communicate support status to managers in informal or formal manner as required.

  • You will demonstrate capacity for continuous learning, high quality deliverables and enjoy a multicultural and collaborative work environment.

  • You will cooperate with managers in consultative processes that improve effective working environment by using the relevant tools, systems, procedures, guidelines and policies.

Accountabilities:

  • Scoping, analysis, estimation, and solution design of new features.

  • Debug and perform root cause analysis of applications.

  • Develop design and system documentation.

  • Participate in the evaluation of tools to support development activities.

  • Ensure that systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames and achieving necessary design and systems security standards.

  • Assist with build and deployment automation and related development activities.

Key Skills / Experience:

  • Experience in conducting research & analysis to gather business requirements and managing the software development lifecycle including preparation of Business Requirement Document, Solution Design and Architecture Design documents.

  • Experience in managing project scope, estimations, and planning.

  • Experience with Siebel configuration, workflow, JavaScript or eScript, EAI in Siebel.

  • Integration design experience using Inbound and Outbound web services and MQ integration essential.

  • Agile software development practices.

  • A passion for technology keeping up with latest trends.

  • Technology and business stakeholder management.

  • Full life cycle (design to development to testing to support).

  • Siebel, VB Script, java, Perl, .net, VB6, SQL, PLSQL systems exposure and knowledge.

  • Siebel EAI skills:  Online / Real-time integration between Siebel and other legacy assets OR Integration with new cloud platforms

  • Siebel EIM skills:  Batch extracts and Upsert integration into Siebel database from other legacy assets. 

  • Control-M tool knowledge is beneficial.

  • GITHUB, Confluence, Rally etc tools working knowledge

  • Understanding of ITIL framework, resolving incidents and problems, and raising changes.

  • Excellent analytical skills and proven track record solving difficult problems.

  • Excellent social and communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing.

  • Software Delivery technical skills such as CI/CD, Automated Deployments, Automated Testing, Build Servers, Software or Source Code Configuration Management.
