Senior Project Engineer- Electrical

CBGU JV brings together partners CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnels and Stations package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail.  Cross River Rail is a 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD.  The project also includes construction of four new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, Roma Street and redevelopment of the existing Dutton Park station.

You will be responsible for managing the effective coordination of design, procurement and construction for Services packages to ensure safety, time, cost and environmental objectives are achieved.  You will also provide mentorship to Project Engineers and Site Engineers.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing the effective set-up, delivering and completion of the Services packages.
• Review design and construction plans, schedules and method statements to ensure constructability.
• Monitor project progress against the programme and budget.
• Effectively assign task. to project team members to deliver the requirement outputs to agreed specifications.
• Prepare accurate project reports.

Minimum requirements for this role include the following:

• A recognised degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineer, or other relevant discipline.
• Previous experience at a Senior Project Engineer level managing major Services packages on large scale building or infrastructure projects.
• Leadership ability to provide mentorship to direct reports.
• Demonstrated commercial experience to include planning and reporting on progress, cost and risk.
• Demonstrated personal commitment to health and safety.
