In addition to Podiatry, we offer Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Phyisotherapy, Dietetics and Myotherapy. We work together as a team helping patients across all the modalities offered and in conjunction with Medical Centres requiring our expertise for various conditions. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership:
Lead clinical team meetings, mentor podiatrists, and ensure clinical excellence across service delivery.
Patient Care:
Maintain a reduced but focused clinical caseload, delivering exceptional podiatry services in MSK, general care, wound care, and minor procedures.
Strategic Development:
Collaborate with management to refine clinical pathways, patient experience, and service offerings.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Foster connections with other healthcare professionals internally and externally, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
To provide a professional, high-quality podiatry service. The podiatrist will be responsible for:
Medical Knowledge: Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to the lower extremities.
Diagnostic: Ability to diagnose various foot and ankle conditions through physical examination, medical history assessment, and diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRI, and ultrasound.
Treatment Planning: Developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patients, which may include medication, physical therapy, orthotics, surgery, or other interventions.
Surgical: Proficiency in performing surgical procedures related to the foot and ankle, such as minor procedures like TNAs and PNAs
Woundcare: Proficiency in wound care assessment, clean, and debride wounds, select appropriate dressings, manage moisture levels, control infections, provide offloading techniques, educate patients, and monitor healing progress for optimal outcomes.
Patient Communication: Effective communication with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive measures clearly and understandably.
Empathy and Compassion: Ability to empathise with patients' concerns and provide emotional support throughout their treatment journey.
Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to identify complex foot and ankle problems and develop innovative solutions to address them.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaboration with other healthcare professionals, such as orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Ethical Practice: Adhering to professional ethics and standards while delivering care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Time Management: Efficiently managing patient appointments, procedures, and administrative tasks to provide timely and effective care.
Essential requirements:The applicant must have a relevant tertiary qualification in Podiatry and at least three years post-graduate clinical work experience. If you do not hold at least one year post-graduate clinical work experience, please still apply as we may have a role you may fit. Applicants must hold General registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia (AHPRA) and a current WWCC and Police Check.
