This role is a permanent part-time opportunity designed for immediate commencement, offering you the chance to join our Practice Manager and dedicated Reception / Administrative Team and contribute to our mission of providing top psychological and dietetic services.

Our new team member will play a crucial role in our daily operations. Must be available to cover shifts on Friday 10:30am-7:30pm and Saturday 9:30am - 4:30pm weekly, with the openness to cover additional shifts as needed.
This position falls under the Support Services Employee Level 5 classification, according to the Health Professionals & Support Services Award 2010, ensuring a rewarding salary package that reflects your valuable contribution.
Role Overview - Responsibilities
As a Senior Medical Receptionist you will be responsible for:
Welcoming / greeting our clients in a friendly, courteous manner Responding to phone enquiries Preparing and receipting of patient accounts, including online credit/debit transactions, cash and invoices Scheduling of patient appointments and management of clinician calendars Data entry, with high level of accuracy Assisting with all patient enquiries including provision of information about our fees, services and staff Booking confirmations and management of attendance levels Scanning and allocating patient records General administrative duties (including typing, filing, posting, maintaining office supplies/amenities) and light cleaning duties Monitoring of day to day communications, liaising with doctors and external departments (eg. Medicare) Ensuring legal and ethical principles of information sharing and confidentiality are upheld Supporting the Practice Manager, the Administrative Team and Clinicians at all times
Selection Criteria - Support Services Employee—Level 5

Be available Friday 10:30am-7:30pm and Saturday 9:30am - 4:30pm weekly, including potential additional hours At least 1 year experience in a similar role in the medical/health industry, understanding of medical terminology, Medicare Benefits Schedule and patient billing procedures (essential) Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team and to take instruction from senior management as well as act upon these without instruction or supervision (essential) Demonstrated responsibility for work performed with a substantial level of accountability and possess administrative skills and problem solving abilities (essential) Demonstrated ability to multi-task, have a high level of organisational and time-management skills, show initiative with a high level of attention to detail (essential) Demonstrated initiative and confidence to answer phone and email enquiries, a polite and professional phone manner and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultures (essential) Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel (essential) Knowledge of Apple products, specifically Mac computers and iPads (essential) Knowledge in clinical practice management software PowerDiary/Zanda (desirable) A pro-active attitude and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify areas needing improvement, make suggestions and implement change A passion for client care; genuine, compassionate and sincere Applicant must provide a current Working with Children's Check and Police Check (or be willing to obtain one) prior to commencing employment Australian citizen with a current TFN (essential)
