RMH are seeking a Senior Clinician for Orygen’s Youth Access Team. Lead crisis intervention, supervise staff, and deliver high-quality, culturally safe mental health care to young people across Footscray and beyond. About the role:
- Lead crisis intervention and mental health care for youth
- Supervise and mentor clinicians, ensuring best practices
- Provide culturally safe, trauma-informed services to youth
- Collaborate with teams and agencies to improve services
- Drive service improvement and maintain high care standards
About you:
Formal Qualifications
- This is a multidisciplinary role open to Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Social Workers, Psychologists or Occupational Therapists (must hold relevant degree, registration and/or membership as per attached Position Description)
Essential
- 5+ years in clinical mental health, including youth work
- Leadership in crisis and youth mental health programs
- Skilled in independent work, team collaboration, and conflict resolution
- Experienced in service planning, risk assessments, and policy
- Builds external partnerships and committed to professional growth
Desirable
- Evidence of current Continuing Professional Development as outlined by ACMHN or RCNA. Evidence ACMHN Credentialed Mental Health Nurse (CMHN); Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
- Accredited Occupational Therapy status (AccOT)
- MAASW or AASW Mental Health Social Worker accreditation
- Knowledge of community and human services organisations
- Commitment to clinical research development
- Understanding of relevant mental health legislation
- Knowledge of mental health strategies and guidelines
- Flexibility to perform other duties as required
