The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales & Marketing Manager to lead and coordinate our sales and marketing functions, while also supporting leadership across our Client Services team.

This position blends commercial strategy, marketing execution, partner engagement, and operational oversight. Reporting to the Head of Growth and the CEO, you’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to drive inflows, support strategic initiatives, and deliver exceptional client and partner experiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate sales and marketing activities aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the execution of marketing campaigns, including lifecycle communications, brochures, EDMs, content creation, and event coordination.
  • Manage and optimise CRM workflows, campaigns, and reporting (Microsoft Dynamics experience advantageous).
  • Oversee the use of Garradin, managing system processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the Client Services team, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with funeral directors, advisers, and other strategic partners to support business growth.
  • Create compliant and compelling member and partner communications that align with product strategy.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams to deliver performance outcomes.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a comparable sales and marketing leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in financial services, particularly in funeral bonds, investment bonds, or retirement products.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms, campaign execution, and performance reporting (Microsoft Dynamics highly regarded).
  • Experience navigating and optimising legacy systems such as Garradin.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
