About The Role Our Risk & Ethics team looking for a Risk & Ethics - Senior Consultant (Independence Office - Assurance) to join our vast community of solvers. The Risk & Ethics team brings our purpose to life by helping the firm, its partners and staff manage a range of regulatory and professional requirements to ensure the firm’s independence from audit and assurance clients. You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills in: Audit or ComplianceAnalytical and communications skillsManaging stakeholders effectively In our Risk & Ethics team, your impact will be seen by: Working with client facing engagement teams, predominantly in the Assurance practice, (escalating as appropriate to more senior members of the team) by:Assisting them to interpret and understand the relevant independence rules and to reflect these appropriately.Conducting data reviews and communicating findings and anomalies to the practice to aid continued improvement. Assisting with projects to create, update and improve guidance materials as well as advising on the rollout of new systems and technologies relating to the management of critical risk areas.Managing your workflow as appropriate, reporting to managers and senior managers on the team.Ensuring your service delivery of queries are answered promptlyAttending training sessions to develop a strong independence knowledge base.Assisting with other areas of the Independence team as required. More About You You have solid experience working in a professional role with an Audit or Compliance background. Audit experience is preferred but not essential. No previous Independence experience is necessary.Your analytical and communication skills, focus on client service and ability to work with teams in a matrix organisation will be crucial in this role.You are skilled in applying complex legislative, regulatory and policy requirements to a range of facts and circumstances, and can take the next step to provide practical solutions in novel scenarios. You are commercially aware and have the willingness to work with the client facing business to provide practical and timely advice. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to manage stakeholders effectively.
