Retail Pharmacist

We are currently seeking a full-time pharmacist to join our team as soon as possible.

Task & responsibilities

• Supply medicines, including prescription and non-prescription medicines in accordance with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and National Health Act regulations and guidelines. This includes:
• Dispensing prescription medicines (including medicine counselling)
• Reviewing customer’s dispense history files to ensure medicines are prescribed correctly and subject to any limitations imposed by law and/or prescribing practitioners.
• Providing advice including in relation to the use and administration of medicines, health products, therapeutic devices, side effects, drug contraindications/interactions, etc.
• Adhering to requirements relating to the dangerous drugs, including updating and maintaining dangerous drugs register.
• Maintain dispensary stock, including stock rotation, ordering, expiry-date checking and ensuring that medicines and vaccines are stored in required conditions.
• Maintain pharmacy security, including the secure opening and closing of the pharmacy as required.
• Checking patient Dose Administration Aids and maintaining patient profiles

Qualification & experience

• Must have completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or higher
• At least one year of relevant work experience for the role 
• AHPRA registration 
• Good communication skills and fluency in English
• Delivering respectful, personalised care to diverse patient groups.
