Retail Manager

SHREEJI INTERNATIONAL PTY LTD t/as THE BOTTLE-O EXHIBITION ST & TATTSLOTTO is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer service. This hands-on leadership role involves managing product mix, stock levels, pricing, and promotional activities; developing purchasing and marketing strategies; maintaining accurate sales and financial records; preparing and monitoring budgets; and recruiting, training, and supervising staff. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with Victorian liquor licensing, gambling regulations, and workplace safety requirements while fostering a welcoming, community-focused shopping experience.

Benefits

We are offering an attractive salary of between $75,000 to $80,000 p/a plus super depending on experience and other factors to the successful applicant.

Task & responsibilities

• Determine product mix, stock levels, and service standards to meet customer demand and maintain store performance
• Develop and implement purchasing and marketing strategies, including setting competitive prices in line with company guidelines
• Plan, coordinate, and execute promotional and advertising activities to drive sales of liquor and lottery products
• Serve customers directly, providing product advice and ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales, and financial transactions
• Prepare and manage store budgets to achieve financial targets
• Oversee recruitment, training, rostering, and supervision of staff to ensure high performance and service quality
• Ensure full compliance with Victorian liquor licensing, gambling regulations, and occupational health and safety requirements

Qualification & experience

• Proven experience in retail management, store operations, or related customer service leadership roles
• Strong ability to assess store performance, identify operational needs, and implement effective strategies to improve sales and service
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff, engage customers, and liaise with suppliers and stakeholders
• Knowledge of retail compliance requirements, including liquor licensing, gambling regulations, workplace health and safety, and cash handling procedures
