Task & responsibilities
As our Retail Buyer, you'll be responsible for:
- Product Selection & Sourcing: Identifying and sourcing new and innovative products across various categories (e.g., over-the-counter medications, vitamins, health & beauty, personal care, giftware).
- Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels, forecasting demand, and optimizing inventory to minimize waste and maximize sales.
- Trend Analysis: Staying up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform purchasing decisions.
- Merchandising Support: Collaborating with the retail team to ensure effective product placement and visual merchandising in-store.
- Sales Performance Analysis: Analyzing sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Promotional Planning: Assisting in the planning and execution of promotional activities and special offers in collaboration with the management
Qualification & experience
- Previous experience in retail buying for at least 1 year Full Time preferably within a pharmacy or beuaty retail environment.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical abilities
- Knowledge of market trends
- Effective communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in retail management software, knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance is a plus.
