Residential Care Officer

We are currently seeking a full-time Residential Care Officer for our business located in Berala.

Your duties will include: 

• Assess the individual needs of NDIS participants and develop tailored support, training, and life skills programs to promote independence and wellbeing
• Conduct client interviews to understand the scope and nature of their personal, social, and developmental challenges
• Monitor participant progress and adjust care and support plans accordingly; maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Refer clients and families to appropriate allied health professionals, support services, or community programs as needed
• Identify local resources and community services that enhance the quality of life for individuals living with disabilities
• Collaborate with families, community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to coordinate holistic and effective support
• Provide in-home and community-based care, supporting participants with daily living tasks, social inclusion, and community participation
• Advocate for the rights and needs of participants in various forums, ensuring their voices are heard and respected
• Support young people and adults with disabilities in managing emotional, social, and financial challenges
• Assist with preparing funding proposals, NDIS reports, and support documentation in line with compliance requirements

In return you will receive:

• Package: $80,500 per annum plus superannuation
• Position: Full time (38 hours a week)
• Ongoing support from our team

Requirements of position

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant work experience or 3 years of experience to substitute formal qualification
