We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Child Care Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will support children’s daily routines and educational activities, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and development through play-based learning and guided behaviour practices.

Task & responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing materials and equipment for educational and recreational activities.
  • Conduct and support indoor and outdoor activities to foster learning and development.
  • Supervise and engage children during play, rest, and hygiene routines.
  • Entertain and stimulate children’s learning by reading, storytelling, and interactive games.
  • Promote and guide positive behaviour and social development.
  • Observe and report children's development and wellbeing to educators and families.

Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive environment in compliance with NQF and service policies


Qualification & experience

  • Minimum Certificate III level qualification, or minimum 3 years of relevant full-time experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children aged 0–5 years in a formal childcare setting.
  • Sound understanding of child development, safety practices, and behaviour guidance.
  • Current Working with Children Check and valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
