Propeller Technician

Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Propeller Technician to join our team in Caloundra, QLD. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.

Your role

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Perform all aspects of maintenance, inspection, reassemble, and disassembly of aircraft propellers.
• Conduct repairs and overhauls on Hartzell, McCauley, Sensenich and similar propellers.
• Perform balancing and functional testing of propellers to ensure optimal performance.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Spray paint experience is an added advantage.

The essential requirements

• Proficient and confident operation of Propeller shop equipment
• Knowledge of the industry with experience with working on a variety of propellers
• Turbine propeller experience preferred
• Knowledge of systems of certification
• Proficient use of Microsoft
• Has experience in building effective relationships with clients and staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to analyse processes and ensure continuous improvement to avoid mistakes
• Systematic approach to business operations to avoid mistakes and to report near missus
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to a high standard
• Persistent approach to time management
• High levels of enthusiasm, energy and resourcefulness
• Excellent planning, organisation ability to work in line with company standards
• High degree of accountability and attention to detail
• Qualified in a mechanical field and/or industry experience
