Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Propeller Technician to join our team in Caloundra, QLD. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.
Your role
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform all aspects of maintenance, inspection, reassemble, and disassembly of aircraft propellers.
- Conduct repairs and overhauls on Hartzell, McCauley, Sensenich and similar propellers.
- Perform balancing and functional testing of propellers to ensure optimal performance.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and thoroughly.
- Spray paint experience is an added advantage.
The essential requirements - Proficient and confident operation of Propeller shop equipment
- Knowledge of the industry with experience with working on a variety of propellers
- Turbine propeller experience preferred
- Knowledge of systems of certification
- Proficient use of Microsoft
- Has experience in building effective relationships with clients and staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to analyse processes and ensure continuous improvement to avoid mistakes
- Systematic approach to business operations to avoid mistakes and to report near missus
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to a high standard
- Persistent approach to time management
- High levels of enthusiasm, energy and resourcefulness
- Excellent planning, organisation ability to work in line with company standards
- High degree of accountability and attention to detail
- Qualified in a mechanical field and/or industry experience
