Alfabs engineering team are seeking a Project cost controller to join their team. As a Project Cost Controller with Alfabs you will be responsible for supporting our project operations team to analyse project and cost centre expenditures, identify trends, and drive best-practice cost management activities, the role will utilise the Primavera P6 program. You will be responsible for collating, developing, and reporting actual spend, forecasts, and budgets, presenting key insights for the project team. Key Responsibilities:Support the Project Team and Project Delivery Manager in the preparation of project reports detailing progress, resource information, costs forecasts and milestone dates.Review cost allocations against approved budgets, and proactively report on potential budget overrunsReview and provide sub margin analysis on labour, materials, equipment and indirect costsPartner with Budget Owners and Project Managers to analyse trends in project and cost center spending, embedding best-practice cost management.Coordinate progress claims for approval by Contract Managers/ Contract Owners and submit to ClientsReport on actual monthly spend versus budget and forecast, providing variance analysis, accurate data reporting, and corrective action planning.Assist in the development of improved commercial workflows, Variation control processes and work instructions that support the project, Team.Support continuous improvement and development of Workforce Management tools. Promote safe working practices and a culture of safe behaviours and attitudes.Collaborate with project teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and other project-related issues.
