Production Manager (Manufacturing)

 Key Responsibilities

Leading and overseeing day-to-day production operations for fabrication of custom security doors and screens.

Planning output schedules based on customer orders, material availability, cost-efficiency, and staff allocation.

Monitoring job flow, material usage, and labour requirements to ensure timely and cost-effective production.

Managing quality control procedures to maintain compliance with industry standards and ensure product integrity.

Coordinating routine maintenance schedules and ensuring workshop equipment and tools are in optimal condition.

Liaising with the Director and other stakeholders to ensure production priorities align with business goals.

Researching fabrication methods and integrating new processes and technologies to improve workflow and safety.

Supervising and mentoring fabrication staff, including performance reviews, task allocation, and training.

Keeping detailed production logs, performance reports, and ensuring compliance with OH&S protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a small but busy team.

Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and workshop resource planning.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.

Knowledge of OHS legislation and production safety standards.
