We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Horticulture Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our farm facility. You will ensure our premium chillies meet strict quality standards from harvest to dispatch, manage seasonal workflows to optimise productivity, and uphold rigorous food safety, traceability, and sustainability practices. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership to collaborate with farm, production, and dispatch teams, ensuring our chillies consistently exceed customer expectations and maintain our reputation as a trusted industry leader.

Task & responsibilities

  • Plan harvest schedules ensuring crops meet safety periods before picking.
  • Maintain harvest equipment for peak efficiency.
  • Adjust harvest techniques based on crop variety, soil moisture, and weather to reduce damage.
  • Collaborate with the farms and pack house team to streamline operations.
  • Monitor crop quality daily during harvest to minimise waste and meet Coles’ standards.
  • Spot and report pests/diseases in chillies, zucchini, or squash immediately.
  • Safely handle, store, and apply chemicals following compliance guidelines.
  • Oversee post-harvest programs for chillies, squash and zucchini.
  • Supervise crop establishment, including chilli planting rotations and squash/zucchini cycles.
  • Manage emergency pest/disease control if outbreaks occur.
  • Operate machinery for chemical application and crop maintenance.
  • Coordinate teams across 5 farms to meet planting/harvest targets.

Qualification & experience

  • Certificate III or IV in Horticulture (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in production horticulture (e.g chemical application, crop management), or similar role.
  • Hands-on leadership in harvest planning, equipment maintenance, and quality control for fresh produce.
  • Ability to coordinate teams across multiple farm sites to meet Coles’ standards.
  • Proactive approach to pest/disease management and emergency response
  • Enthusiastic and can-do attitude is essential. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Must be able to commute to our farm in Mariginiup (an outer northern suburb of Perth)
