About the role

We are seeking an experienced residential Production Estimator/Cost Controller. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone to take the next step in their career and be involved with the complete end-to-end delivery of a project. You will be responsible for production estimates and providing support for the construction delivery team in relation to orders and contract administration. Working with multiple internal departments and external suppliers and contractors, your ability to organise, engage and support is critical to your success in this fast-paced environment.

About your new career

  • Undertake quantity take offs and prepare accurate production estimates from plans, contracts, drawings, project specifications and site investigations.
  • Contract tendering, and tender management of project building works.
  • Preparation and processing of orders for materials and labour, and invoice management.
  • Process, manage and analyse cost variations to identify the cause of the variation and implement recovery action where appropriate.
  • Regular onsite meetings with site managers to effectively manage upcoming work schedules and resolve day-to-day construction site issues.

About you

We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Production Estimator able to thrive in a team environment. The right candidate for this position will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years production or sales estimating experience, ideally within a residential home builder.
  • Able to read plans, selections and specifications and strong understanding of design and construction methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to prioritise tasks with competing timeframes.
  • Have exceptional computer skills, with an advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Familiar and comfortable navigating estimating software (e.g. Databuild or Buildertrend).
