Why We’re Expanding Our Team to Include a Dietitian

We are looking for a neurodivergent-affirming dietitian to join our team—someone who understands how eating and feeding challenges intersect with sensory processing, interoception, emotional wellbeing, and neurodivergent identity. Your role will support clients to build trust in their bodies, explore food without shame, and advocate for their needs in ways that feel safe and sustainable.

At Eating and Feeding, we strongly encourage applications from neurodivergent and lived-experience clinicians. We are committed to fostering an inclusive, affirming workplace for both clients and staff.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

What We Offer

Collaborative Team – Join psychologists and dietitians specialising in feeding, eating disorders, sensory needs, anxiety, and neurodivergence.
Lived Experience Valued – Many of our team bring personal experience with neurodivergence and eating challenges. We value authenticity, curiosity, and openness.
Holistic, Client-Led Care – Support clients to understand their needs, trust their bodies, and advocate for themselves across all areas of life.
Continued Growth – Ongoing access to supervision, mentoring, and development in neuroaffirming, eating disorder-informed, and sensory-aware care.

Your Role as a Dietitian

As our new dietitian, you’ll support clients to rebuild trust with food, explore eating in ways that work for them, and honour their sensory, emotional, and cognitive needs. Your work will include:

  • Feeding & Eating Support – Including eating disorders, sensory-based eating differences, food-related anxiety, and mealtime overwhelm
  • Exploration of Food Autonomy – Supporting clients to move away from diet culture and toward affirming, self-directed choices
  • Interoception & Body Connection – Helping clients tune into hunger, fullness, and emotional cues
  • Shame-Free Nutrition Support – Offering guidance around food and nourishment without pressure or moral language
  • Collaborative Family & Carer Involvement – Working with parents and carers to reduce mealtime conflict and foster positive food experiences
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration – Partnering with psychologists and other clinicians to provide wrap-around, whole-person care
