This role puts you at the heart of financial and policy decision-making, enabling you to safeguard and advance the long-term interests of Queenslanders.

In this role, you will:
• Offer high-level advice and analysis to Treasury executives, senior management, and Ministers on topics such as financial and non-financial performance, investment decisions, pricing, regulation, and governance.
• Apply commercial, policy and governance frameworks to advice, aligned with Government priorities and objectives.
• Foster relationships within Treasury, other departments and Government Owned Corporations (GOCs).
• Coordinate and manage client requirements and competing work unit priorities.
• Contribute to the State Budget process, including the preparation of publications and presentations.
• Represent Treasury in various meetings, committees, and working groups.
• Prepare high-quality reports, Cabinet and Parliamentary material, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, and correspondence.

What experience you will bring:
• Experience in providing high quality and strategic advice on commercial, and/or public policy.
• Strong analytical, communication and project management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Experience in the energy sector is highly regarded.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
