About the role:
This position plays a key role in providing reporting that supports the development of pricing strategies and informed risk decision-making. The analyst is essential in maintaining wholesale contract repositories, which are crucial for the company’s accurate demand forecasting, financial forecasting, and wholesale position management
Key Responsibilities?
Assess the risk profile of each customer and develop accurate, competitive pricing for our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers across electricity, gas, carbon, and other tailored product offerings
Provide analysis of portfolio risk associated with specific customers, segments, and products to support decisions on physical and financial trading, aligning with Origin’s strategic objectives of market share management and portfolio optimisation.
Identify and assess risks related to Large Customer products, ensuring the business is informed of potential vulnerabilities and opportunities.
Proactively provide business intelligence and insights to sales leads, assisting in the optimization of sales strategies and decision-making processes.
Maintain and improve operational processes and procedures, ensuring all pricing is approved in accordance with the Commodity Risk Management System.
Maintain and update wholesale contract repositories (Moneta/GETS) promptly, while ensuring service levels are met or exceeded across internal business groups, particularly Wholesale Portfolio, Demand Forecasting, and Business Energy.

Maintain high attention to detail, identifying system/process weaknesses and using analytical thinking to address risks.
Manage competing priorities within demanding time constraints while making accountable decisions under pressure.
Develop and maintain strong relationships across various disciplines, working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
