About the Opportunity
As part of the Park Lands, Policy and Sustainability Program, the Policy Planner plays a key role in shaping the future of Adelaide through informed urban planning and policy development. You'll contribute to important projects such as Planning and Design Code Amendments, regional and spatial strategic plans (like the City Plan), Design Guidelines and other Council policies—ensuring they align with Council’s strategic goals and community values.
This position involves undertaking detailed research and analysis, providing expert advice on urban policy matters including land use, density, heritage, sustainability, and built form, and contributing to the delivery of integrated planning solutions. You’ll also support engagement initiatives, enabling the community’s voice to be heard in the policy-making process.
We’re looking for someone who thrives on collaboration and brings a curious and analytical mindset. Your ability to work across programs, keep up with emerging trends, and communicate complex ideas clearly will help shape a more sustainable, vibrant, and inclusive city.

Please be advised this is a full time, permanent opportunity 2027 with a starting salary at the Salaried Level 5 Classification commencing at $94,283 + 11.5% superannuation.
