Pipe Welder/Pipe Fitter

About the Role:

You will be responsible for the fabrication of process piping including carbon steel and stainless steel.

There are a number of roles available at our Deer Park fabrication workshop.

About you, as a minimum:

• Minimum of 5 years post trade experience in medium to heavy fabrication / construction

• Experienced in structural fabrication or the manufacture of skid mounted packaged equipment

• Experienced in pipe welding

• Site experience performing installation and modification works

• Ability to complete weld test to GMAW (1G ,2F) / GTAW (6G)

• Experience working with various piping materials (carbon steel and stainless steel)

• Experienced in pipe fitting

• Fitting up spools to supplied isometric drawing

• Ensure completion of required weld & material traceability information

• Able to read technical fabrication and isometric drawings

• High level understanding of manufacturing processes

• Detailed knowledge of fabrication – TIG and MIG

• Knowledge of STT welding (preferred)

• Hold an Australian recognised trade qualification in boiler making and or be a ticketed welder

• Construction industry White Card

• Hold a valid high risk work licence (desirable)

• Valid Australian driver’s licence (manual car licence is a minimum)

• Proof of right to work in Australia

• Strong safety focus and a desire to enhance the site safety environment and culture

• Fluent in written and verbal English

• Pass a drug and alcohol test
