We’re seeking a motivated, customer-focused pharmacist to deliver expert medication services, manage dispensary operations, support clinical care, and lead with professionalism. Must be PBS-savvy, detail-oriented, and passionate about community health. Apply now!
Dispense prescription and non-prescription medicines in compliance with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and National Health Act guidelines, including medicine counselling and supply of Schedule 2 and 3 medications.
Deliver professional services such as dose administration aids, staged supply, health promotion, and NDSS/SATS form completion.
Promptly report all dispensing errors, near misses, or breaches of ethical standards in accordance with pharmacy protocols.
Prepare, review, and submit accurate PBS and other Medicare-related claims.
Maintain and manage dispensary stock through regular ordering, expiry checks, and stock rotation.
Provide direct customer service, including counselling on new prescriptions, generic substitutions, and OTC product advice—avoid staying behind the counter for extended periods.
Ensure all generic substitution counselling is completed and clearly labelled with the original brand name on the medicine label.
Adhere to policies regarding S3, S4, and S8 medicines, including secure storage, recording, and supply procedures.
Perform daily tasks such as dispensing, Pfizer ordering (8 times/month), and refrigerator temperature logging.
Check nursing home packs, process faxed orders, and manage after-hours medication supply as required.
Process compounded medications and review uncollected items or prescriptions left on the shelves.
Follow all pharmacy opening/closing procedures, including backup disk changes, script claims, and physical security.
Oversee dispensary assistants and support staff, ensuring compliance with pharmacy procedures and maintaining professional dress and conduct standards.
Follow WHS legislation, Equal Opportunity and Discrimination laws, and contribute to a safe and respectful working environment.
Maintain open communication with management about any incidents, absences, or workplace conflicts, and uphold confidentiality and integrity at all times.
· Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) from a recognised institution
· Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist in Australia
· Eligibility to work in Australia (citizenship, residency, or valid visa)
