ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
In this rewarding opportunity you will join the St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team as the Perioperative Floor Coordinator in our Operating Theatre department at the East Melbourne campus.
This role will be permanent full time, working 38 hours per week, with a 9-day fortnight and will be responsible for the overall coordination of our 11 Operating Theatres, Monday to Friday.

This role reports directly to the Perioperative Services Manager, and you will work collaboratively with the Leadership Team to ensure a high level of service to our Patients, Team and VMP.

ABOUT YOU:
The successful applicant will have the following:

  • Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the Operating Theatre.
  • Previous experience at an ANUM or NUM level.
  • Perioperative course and/or Health Administration or Management qualifications or working towards.
  • Experience coordinating in the Operating Suite.

Your skills will include but not limited to:

  • The ability to respond to constant changes within the Operating Suite on a daily basis.
  • The ability to foster good communication and a Team approach that is inclusive of all Team members and Visiting Medical Professionals.
  • Manage allocations and staffing within identified labour targets.
  • Develop and foster flexibility from staff in order to meet the demands of the department.
