Join our dynamic team at Panayi Providores – Panayi Providores - Panayi Retail Group is located in Sydney as we seek a talented pastry cook for a full-time position paid 77k to 80k plus super. As a valued member of our staff, you will contribute to creating an exceptional creative pastry of desserts, cakes, biscuits and sweets.

As the Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for planning and organising the preparation of pastry food and desserts.

This is a hand-on position. To be successful in this role you will:

·         Design and Prepare pastry and bake different flavours pastries, cakes and desserts

·         Glazing, Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods

·         Customising Pastry designs on location at our store’s to suit customer needs.

·         Planning specialised productions and custom orders

·         Preparing pastry fillings and cooking chocolate, salted sauces, creams, syrups etc.

·         Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine cooking times when baking of pastry, cakes, buns and breads.

·         Mix icing, cream, glaze and other toppings by reading recipes, scaling and measuring ingredients and operating mixer.

·         Glazing pastry, buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing for custom orders

·         Replenished and rotated food items, following correct food cooling and storage procedures.

·         Handling employee’s task and organize presentations at shops.

·         Cleaned and maintained kitchen equipment and oven.

·         Ordering food supplies

  • Handle freezing and preserving foods

·         A proven ability to implement work place procedures

·         Overseeing stock levels

·         Check the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

Skill Requirement:
