About the Role:
As a painter, you’ll be responsible for preparing and painting surfaces to a high standard, working independently or as part of a small team. From fresh coats in new builds to reviving older homes, you’ll take pride in your craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
- Preparing surfaces – filling, sanding, cleaning, masking
- Applying undercoats, primers, and finish coats using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Painting interior and exterior surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, trims, and fences
- Performing basic patching, minor plaster repairs, and touch-ups
- Setting up and cleaning up job sites
- Following all site safety procedures and using PPE
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven residential painting experience (2+ years preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- White Card (Construction Induction Card), Asbestos and Silica awareness – essential
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Own painting tools preferred (not essential)
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating/Apprenticeship
