Chisholm is seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Senior Business Partner – Plant & Compliance for our Safety Governance and Assurance team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the OHS Senior Business Partner – Plant & Compliance, your key responsibilities include:

  • The development and implementation of Plant and equipment systems and initiatives to continuously improve the health, safety and psychological outcomes for Chisholm employees, students, and workplace participants while creating a culture that promotes accountability for safety
  • Providing expert health and safety advice and support to Chisholm People Leaders, including incident investigations, root cause analysis and support the development of corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.  Monitoring of controls for their effectiveness.
  • Conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify workplace hazards, evaluate potential risks, and recommend preventive measures to minimize or eliminate risks to employee health and safety
  • Identified OHS compliance matters  that require attention or due to changes in the legislative and regulatory framework

ABOUT YOU

You are a highly motivated individual with well- proven competency in the provision of expert OHS management, quality management systems, or a related field in a complex, multi-risk environment.

Qualifications required for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, or a related field, or subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of knowledge, training, and experience.
  • Certified Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner (or higher) with the Australian Institute of Health & Safety or willingness to obtain certification (https://www.aihs.org.au/certification).
