The Role: Our National Spare Parts Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all workshop and maintenance spare parts procured, purchased, and used over all sites company wide.
With 5 direct reports (in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne & Coffs Harbour), this is a great opportunity for the right person to develop their career whilst being strongly connected to daily operations.
This role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement and purchasing of spare parts ensuring there is a consistent supply of spare parts for all workshops.
- Management of incoming stock with continuous maintenance of stock levels from product lines to parts for all workshops
- Lead, encourage and motivate your team of Parts Interpreters
- Liaise with purchasing team, major parts suppliers and Parts Interpreters on stock that is coming in and being used
- Evaluating cost effective options and methods of operation
- Research new products to the market
- Reporting on stock and usage or sales for the Workshops and rural stores
- Conduct pricing reviews and suggest alternative ways of working
- Demonstrate behaviours that support the Values of the business.
- Travel between sites as required
About You To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience in parts management, ideally within the road transport industry or heavy equipment sector.
- Established experience in a people leadership role with a highly motivated, enthusiastic & positive leadership style.
- Excellent use and understanding of Microsoft Office suite & parts management systems.
- Highly organised, with excellent time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Availability to travel nationally.
