Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a confident and professional National Linehaul Manager to lead our dynamic and customer focused linehaul operations across Australia.  This is a hands on position and will be based in Sydney.  

As the National Linehaul Manager your role will be to direct, coordinate, and meet service objectives of our customers. You will also be responsible for leading the line-haul team to ensure outstanding results are achieved whilst driving a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive growth in your area by having strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure customer expectations are met and managed accordingly
  • Manage line-haul activities and ensure work is performed safely
  • Manage, organize and execute the maintenance schedule for all equipment
  • Building and promoting a team environment that works collaboratively
  • Identify improvements and encourage an innovative culture
  • Manage and co ordinate linehauls to minimize cost and work within the KPI's agreed upon
  • Develop strong relationships within the WPE teams across Australia to ensure our DIFOT requirements are meet

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a similar position, with responsibility for leading a strong safety culture
  • A proven track record in a heavy vehicle transport environment
  • Ability to prioritize workload and achieve results through planning and excellent communication 
  • Thrive in a fast paced business that has very strong growth 
  • A sound mechanical knowledge 
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers, subcontractors and operational personnel.
  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Minimum HC Truck Licence and Fork Lift Licence
