The Company

Robert Half Executive Search has been exclusively retained by Cellnet to find the next National Account Manager, who will be instrumental in the success of the business during this exciting transformative period of growth, with a new CEO at the helm. This role is based near Brisbane Airport and is a hybrid opportunity requiring travel throughout Australia, but predominantly Sydney and Melbourne.

This strategic decision underscores their commitment to deepening Cellnet's engagement with customers and partners in Australia, solidifying its position as a key player in the ever-evolving landscape of lifestyle technology and gaming accessories.

The Role

Cellnet are looking for an experienced National Account Manager to lead their expanding client facing team. You will be mainly responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with today's key accounts and also establishing the key accounts of the future. This will involve developing and implementing a strategic plan aimed at driving sales, meeting or exceeding targets, and achieving strong commercial outcomes for both clients and Cellnet.

Reporting to a newly appointed Sales Director, this is a hybrid opportunity that also requires interstate travel. This is an exciting time to join this business that has just gone through a restructure and with a new team who are highly energised to regain market share and grow as a strong and cohesive unit.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct regular visits to key clients at both head office and store levels.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders, including owners, store managers, and executives.
  • Design and execute product promotions and customer engagement activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive customer proposals, including quotes and deal structures.
  • Provide timely responses to customer concerns and operational challenges.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and in-depth product knowledge.
  • Build productive relationships with store staff, managers, and regional leaders.
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising and stock management strategies.
  • Create training plans to enhance store-level sales performance.
  • Achieve or exceed all sales targets.
  • Maintain agreed call cycle frequencies and store visit coverage.
  • Support team objectives and budgets.
  • Collect and report on market intelligence and competitive insights.
  • Actively contribute to fostering team cohesion and culture.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and maintain professional presentation standards.
  • Participate in company and client events as needed, including outside standard business hours
  • Submit monthly reports on product forecasts, opportunities, and risks.
  • Provide weekly updates on revenue forecasts, client performance, and store activity.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will have amassed many years of experience selling in the retail space, with an emphasis on Consultative sales or Challenger methodology and longer sales cycles.

Your ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors will be outstanding. You will be a strong 'hunter profile' with a proven ability to engage in cold calling and a demonstrated capability for identifying and capitalising on business opportunities. You will also have a challenger mindset where you seek to question the status quo and exceed expectations.

You will need to love technology and really "get it". As you will be selling physical products, you must be able to present the product and how it works and sell the complete solution. This will require a high level of emotional intelligence to really understand the clients' needs to create the solution using many Cellnet products when appropriate. Some understanding of the retail market and its key business drivers will be needed.

You must be resilient and exhibit a high level of energy and also passion to challenge the status quo. An attractive remuneration package including an uncapped commission structure awaits this individual. The sky really is the limit!
