Detecting electrical faults by using various types of instruments (Test light, Continuity tester, Battery tester, multi-meter) and fixing them.
Performing maintenance and servicing on different engine types such as changing engine oil, oil filters, remove and replace spark plugs, air filters.
Service cooling system and identify faults e.g. flush cooling system, test visually and inspect, adjusting drive belts. Remove and replace cooling system e.g. hoses, radiators, water pumps, Welsh plugs.
Remove and replace clutch assemblies and check operating systems and identify faults e.g. visually inspect and adjust clearances and pedal heights, pressure plates, clutch plates, thrust bearing, and spigot bearings.
Service & adjust automatic transmissions and identify faults e.g. replace fluid/filters and adjust linkages and Speedo cable
Rebuilding and refitting automatic transmission

Certificate in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on mechanical experience
European vehicle experience preferred but not essential

Valid Australian driver’s licence
