Motor Mechanic

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Motor Mechanic to join our busy workshop located at Artarmon, NSW.

Annual salary of $73,150 plus superannuation.

Tasks & responsibilities

The successful applicant will undertake the following tasks:

• Examine vehicles to assess the condition of systems and components, ensuring that they are functioning correctly and identifying any issues that need attention.
• Use specialized diagnostic equipment and tools to pinpoint the source of malfunctions in engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems.
• Fix or swap out faulty components, such as worn-out brake pads, damaged belts, or malfunctioning electrical parts, restoring and re-assembling the vehicles parts for performance and safety.
• Carry out routine servicing tasks, like changing oil and filters, checking tire pressure, and testing batteries, to maintain vehicles in good working order and extend their lifespan
• After completing repairs, test the vehicle to confirm that the problem has been resolved and that the vehicle is running smoothly and safely.
• Operate and care for hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic machines, keeping them in good working condition and ready for use in various repair and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications & experience

Relevant qualification(s) and at least 12 months of work experience
