Your new company
They are a major energy company with significant generational assets, including Renewable Energy, progressing their transition to clean energy with a significant investment and pipeline. They are establishing a Microgrid business that is winning new, high-profile clients.
Your new role
- Develop microgrid opportunities with customers to qualify and validate microgrid, distributed energy, and/or demand response project opportunities;
- Develop and implement client engagement plans;
- Scope and assess project opportunities;
- Manage all client stakeholders and key decision makers throughout the business and project development process;
- Manage all aspects of microgrid, onsite energy generation & battery energy storage and demand response project development including assessment, technical and commercial feasibility through to FID;
- Manage & communicate milestones and deliverables for priority client projects;
- Coordinate customer site/project feasibility, designs & costings;
- Negotiate and finalise customer term sheets and EaaS contracts.
Who you are - You have origination, business development experience with industrial scale microgrids, solar and storage and demand response projects through to FID;
- You may have a technology background, e.g. IoT, Application Development, Cloud computing, where long lead times on multimillion dollar deals is the norm (don’t worry our client will teach you what you need to know in the energy world);
- Understanding of what makes a microgrid project feasible and ability to quickly identify risks and mitigation measures;
- Strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to manage numerous projects and relationships simultaneously including consultants, attorneys, and other third-party vendors;
- Demonstrated success engaging with senior executives at large ASX200 companies such as CFO’s and COO’s and project sponsors, including mining, manufacturing and industrial clients and have built a strong network;
- Understanding of energy, energy productivity and technology markets both from commercial, development and/or policy lens.
